Denny's to charge 5% 'Obamacare surcharge' and cut employee hours to deal with cost of legislation | Mail Online: "President Obama's election victory ensured his Affordable Care Act would remain the centerpiece of his first term in power - but that has left some business owners baulking at the extra cost Obamcare will bring.
Florida based restaurant boss John Metz, who runs approximately 40 Denny's and owns the Hurricane Grill & Wings franchise has decided to offset that by adding a five percent surcharge to customers' bills and will reduce his employees' hours.
With Obamacare due to be fully implemented in January 2014, Metz has justified his move by claiming it is 'the only alternative. I've got to pass on the cost to the customer.'"

As days without power drag on, frustration simmers - Yahoo! News
As days without power drag on, frustration simmers - Yahoo! News: " New Yorkers railed Sunday against a utility that has lagged behind others in restoring power two weeks after the superstorm that socked the region, criticizing its slow pace as well as a dearth of information.
About 120,000 customers in New York and New Jersey remained without power Sunday, including tens of thousands of homes and businesses that were too damaged to connect to power even if it was running in their neighborhood. More than 8 million lost power during the storm, and some during a later nor'easter.
Separately, U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano visited with disaster-relief workers Sunday in Staten Island's Midland Beach neighborhood, which is still devastated two weeks after Sandy hit."

A senior Secret Service agent on President Obama's detail kills himself
A senior Secret Service agent on President Obama's detail kills himself: "Things are getting strange close to the president. A senior Secret Service agent reportedly killed himself last week after an investigation into his affair with a foreign-born woman began.
According to USA Today, Rafael Prieto, the 47-year-old married father, was found dead in his car in Washington, with carbon monoxide poisoning the apparent cause of death. CBS News reports that the dead agent was found on Saturday inside a garage at an apartment complex in Northwest Washington D.C.
The 22-year veteran who closely guarded the president was reportedly having an affair with a woman from Mexico for many years. The investigation was prompted by one of the agents embroiled in the Secret Service sex scandal which exploded in April over escorts hired for sex in Cartagena, Colombia."
