Heidemarie Schwermer - Living without Money | Oddity Central - Collecting Oddities
Heidemarie Schwermer - Living without Money | Oddity Central - Collecting Oddities: "Heidemarie Schwermer, a 69-year-old woman from Germany, gave up using money 15 years ago and says she’s been much happier ever since.
Heidemarie’s incredible story began 22 years ago, when she, a middle-aged secondary school teacher emerging from a difficult marriage, took her two children and moved to the city of Dortmund, in Germany’s Ruhr area. One of the first things she noticed was the large number of homeless people, and this shocked her so much that she decided to actually do something about it. She had always believed the homeless didn’t need actual money to be accepted back into society, only a chance to empower themselves by making themselves useful, so she opened a Tauschring (swap shop), called “Gib und Nimm” (Give and Take)."

Modern Poverty Includes A.C. and an Xbox - By Ken McIntyre - The Corner - National Review Online
Modern Poverty Includes A.C. and an Xbox - By Ken McIntyre - The Corner - National Review Online: "When Americans think of poverty, we tend to picture people who can’t adequately shelter, clothe, and feed themselves or their families.
When the Census Bureau defines “poverty,” though, it winds up painting more than 40 million Americans — one in seven — as “poor.”
Census officials continue to grossly exaggerate the numbers of the poor, creating a false picture in the public mind of widespread material deprivation, writes Heritage Foundation senior research fellow Robert Rector in a new paper.
“Most news stories on poverty feature homeless families, people living in crumbling shacks, or lines of the downtrodden eating in soup kitchens,” Rector says. “The actual living conditions of America’s poor are far different from these images.”"

'Irrefutable' proof of Obama forgery
'Irrefutable' proof of Obama forgery: "Unless the typewriter used to type Barack Obama's purported Hawaiian 'Certificate of Live Birth' in 1961 was magically capable of producing different size and shaped images with the exact same key, the document released by the White House April 27 is a forgery, says a professional typographer with 50 years experience.
'Steel-stamped letters do not expand to larger sizes and morph into different styles of type,' retired New York City typographer Paul Irey told WND.
As WND previously reported, it would be impossible for the different letters that appear in the Obama birth certificate to have been typed by one typewriter, according to Irey.
Jerome Corsi's new book, 'Where's the Birth Certificate?', is now available for immediate shipping, autographed by the author, only from the WND Superstore
'These are irrefutable proofs of forgery,' he said.
His newest analysis suggests the document was assembled from images of letters or words taken from other documents.
'The forger who produced the Obama Hawaii long-form birth certificate may have thought that all typewriter typeface styles were alike,' he said."
