READ MORE: Officers killed in St. Petersburg: "Two police officers were fatally shot while executing a search warrant at a home in the 3700 block of 28th Avenue South in St. Petersburg this morning. A U.S. Marshal involved in the operation was also shot and is in stable condition.
According to Chief Chuck Harmon, the officers and deputy marshal went to the home to serve a warrant for aggravated battery, and when a woman answered the door, she told the officers that the suspect they were looking for was in the attic."
