READ MORE: Ohio Senate Passes Bill Curbing Union Bargaining - WSJ.com: "The Ohio Senate passed a bill Wednesday curbing collective-bargaining rights for public employees, while Wisconsin Republicans levied $100-a-day fines on Democratic lawmakers who fled the state to prevent a vote on similar legislation.

Ohio state senators voted 17-16 in favor of legislation that would prohibit public-employee unions representing 400,000 state employees from bargaining over health benefits, pensions and working conditions. Workers could face fines of as much as $1,000, or 30 days in jail, if they were to go on strike."
